TOMPE2026
The Ontario Miniature Print Exhibition

November 12 - December 3, 2026

at Cohen Commons, John Labatt Visual Arts Centre
Western University - London, Ontario

Print London is excited to present TOMPE2026: The Ontario Miniature Print Exhibition.

For this 6th edition of TOMPE, we received 276 submissions from 88 professional artists in six provinces and one territory. These submissions continue to represent the exciting work happening in print studios across Canada by artists of all ages and stages in their careers. Our exhibition is somewhat smaller this year, despite the usual high quality of work submitted, owing to a precision in curatorial vision by our three eminent jurors. 102 works are being shown by 71 artists. This has given us the opportunity to frame the exhibited works for the first time.

About TOMPE:

Print London put out an open Call for Submissions to professional Canadian-based artists for TOMPE2026. Artists were invited to submit up to four original miniature prints in any printmaking medium or combination of mediums for consideration by a panel of three jurors:

Eric Euler, Visual Artist; Instructional Assistant (Printmaking), McMaster University
Cassandra Getty, Curator of Art, Museum London
Tricia Johnson, Visual Artist; Associate Dean Academic, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Western University

We extend our sincere thanks to the jurors for spending an intense jurying session examining the submissions together and carefully selecting the works to be shown. This year, they have awarded First, Second, and Third Prizes (monetary awards) as well as three Honourable Mentions. In addition, we have a special prize for the best work on Japanese paper gifted by the Japanese Paper Place.

We offer our warm congratulations to the artists whose work is on display and to our award winners.

Winners will be announced at the Opening Reception on November 12 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Cohen Commons in the John Labatt Visual Arts Centre at Western University.

We hope you will join us!

The exhibition has been generously sponsored by the artLAB Gallery, the Department of Visual Arts at Western University, MUSEUM LONDON, The Japanese Paper Place. We also acknowledge with gratitude the support of the City of London and the London Arts Council through a generous Community Arts Investment Program (CAIP) Grant.
