TOMPE2022
The Ontario Miniature Print Exhibition

Print London was pleased to present its fourth edition of The Ontario Miniature Print Exhibition (TOMPE2022). First held in 2016, previous editions of the exhibition limited entries to artists born or raised in Ontario. For 2022, we went national! We are thrilled to have been able to widen the call for submissions to include printmakers from across Canada.

The exhibition ran from August 17 - 27, 2022 at Satellite Project Space, 121 Dundas St., London.

The Opening Reception took place virtually on August 20 and included a sneak peek of the exhibition, as well as opening remarks by the jurors and the announcement of prize winners. Click here to view a recording of the Opening Reception.

About TOMPE:

An open Call for Submissions to professional Canadian-based artists for TOMPE2022 attracted nearly 250 entries from 75 artists across Canada. Artists were invited to submit up to four original miniature prints in any printmaking medium or combination of mediums for consideration by a panel of three jurors:

David Bobier, Media Artist, Curator, Founder and Director – VibraFusionLab
Cassandra Getty, Curator of Art, Museum London
Jenn Law, Artist and Co-founder and Editor of Arts + Letters press

After a challenging jurying process, 95 works by 60 artists were selected for the final exhibition, as well as First, Second, and Third prize winners and three Honourable Mentions. These prize winners were announced at the Virtual Opening Reception held on on August 20.

Congratulations to all the artists in the show and our prize winners:

First Prize: Brianna Tosswill

Second Prize: Timothy Laurin

Third Prize: Lori Jensen-Brazier

Honourable Mention: Carlina Chen
Honourable Mention: Julie McIntyre
Honourable Mention: Irina Schestakowich

As part of its programming for The Ontario Miniature Print Exhibition (TOMPE2022), PRINT LONDON presented a virtual artist talk by Canadian artist and TOMPE2022 Juror, Jenn Law.
